2009 Week of the Family Tampa Bay
Hillsborough
County 4-H and Hillsborough County Extension are partnering with
various organizations around Tampa to host the first annual Week of
the Family Tampa Bay.
Families all across Tampa Bay will enjoy family-friendly events, educational opportunities and activities designed to bring the community together to celebrate and strengthen families. Join us in celebrating families of all shapes and sizes.
A week of events and activities involving thousands of families will celebrate the joy of being a part of a family.
Media exposure, including newspaper, Television and online partnerships will ensure a wide reach and community awareness.
Non profit organizations will be encouraged to use the week to promote their family-friendly services and activities for FREE. Participating businesses will offer a range of discounts and promotions for families to encourage family-friendly activities. The tone will be celebratory and supportive, focusing on the joy of being a part of a family and the fun that families of all shapes and sizes can have together.Please visit the Week of the Family website at: http://www.weekofthefamilytampabay.org/ for additional information about events happening in your area. The opening ceremony will take place on Sunday, November 1st at MOSI and the closing ceremony will take place at the Hillsborough County Fair on Saturday, November 7th.
