Florida 4-H Centennial Celebration Events 2009

Florida 4-H will kickoff the Centennial Celebration at the Florida State Fair in Tampa, FL, February 5-16, 2009. The Florida 4-H Office will be hosting a 6-hole putt-putt golf course in the Ag Hall of Fame Building on the Florida State Fairgrounds. Each hole will be decorated to represent a different program area offered in 4-H. Every 4-H district will be represented with a district banner hanging from the ceiling. Our Florida 4-H History Books and other items will be sold at this event as well. They need your help!

The state office is looking for volunteers to help facilitate this exhibit.  The Exhibit will open from 9am until 9pm every day of the fair.  Work shifts are 4 hours long.  If you are interested in helping out the State planning committee on this , please CLICK HERE to sign up.

They are also in need of decorators for the putt-putt holes. They are looking for clubs, councils, or just a group of 4-H friends to decorate 6 putt-putt holes. Each hole will follow one of the following program area themes: Animal Science, Communication & Expressive Arts, Environmental Education & Plant Science, Family and Consumer Science & Healthy Lifestyles, Leadership & Career Development, and Science & Technology. If you are interested in this opportunity CLICK HERE for more details and to sign up.
